by submitting a booking and/or payment for this retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
deposits & payments
a non-refundable deposit of $1000 USD per person is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your space.
the remaining balance must be paid in full by september 12, 2026.
if booking after september 12, 2026, full payment is required at the time of booking.
failure to complete payment by the final payment deadline may result in forfeiture of your space on the retreat and any payments already made.
all retreat prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.
cancellation policy
the $1000 USD deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
however, if cancellation takes place within 7 days of booking, 100% of payments made are refundable, including the deposit, unless cancellation occurs after september 12, 2026, as no refunds are available after this date.
if cancellation takes place before september 12, 2026, any payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded at the discretion of &asanas, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred.
all payments made toward the retreat become fully non-refundable after september 12, 2026.
because retreat spaces are limited and accommodations are reserved in advance, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or transfers for:
cancellations for any reason
missed flights or travel delays
illness or injury
personal emergencies
changes in work or life circumstances
failure to obtain required travel documents
if your space is able to be filled from the waitlist, we may choose to offer a partial refund, though this is not guaranteed.
all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.
travel insurance
comprehensive travel insurance, including emergency medical coverage and trip cancellation/interruption coverage, is strongly recommended.
we encourage all participants to purchase insurance that includes:
trip cancellation/interruption
cancel for any reason coverage
medical emergencies
travel delays
lost baggage
unforeseen circumstances
&asanas is not responsible for any losses, damages, injuries, expenses, or inconveniences incurred before, during, or after the retreat.
participant responsibility & acknowledgement of risk
by joining this retreat, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in yoga classes, movement practices, workshops, excursions, and other retreat activities.
activities may include yoga, meditation, hiking, swimming, excursions, and other movement or outdoor experiences. activities may involve transportation by private vehicle, boat, shuttle, or other local transportation providers. participation in such transportation is voluntary and undertaken at the participant's own risk. participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.
you accept full responsibility for your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing during the retreat and agree to participate at your own discretion and risk.
while &asanas has taken reasonable steps to help create a safe experience, participation in retreat activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, including the risk of illness, injury, property damage, travel disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances.
please consult a healthcare professional if you have any concerns regarding your ability to participate.
it is your responsibility to inform the retreat hosts of any relevant injuries, medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs prior to the retreat.
participants are responsible for carrying any personal medications required during the retreat.
elevation & environmental conditions
the retreat takes place at lake atitlán, guatemala, which is situated at approximately 1,560 metres (5,120 feet) above sea level.
participants acknowledge that travel to higher elevations may result in temporary symptoms such as fatigue, headache, shortness of breath, dizziness, dehydration, digestive changes, or difficulty sleeping.
it is the responsibility of each participant to assess their own health and fitness for travel and participation in retreat activities. participants with any medical concerns are encouraged to consult their healthcare provider prior to travel.
health, food & international travel conditions
participants acknowledge that travel in a foreign country may involve exposure to unfamiliar foods, water, environmental conditions, insects, weather patterns, transportation systems, and healthcare services.
while reasonable care is taken in selecting retreat accommodations, meals, vendors, and excursion providers, &asanas cannot guarantee against illness, allergic reactions, food sensitivities, insect bites, environmental hazards, or other circumstances that may arise during international travel.
participants are responsible for communicating any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical conditions, or accessibility needs prior to the retreat.
flights, travel & transportation
participants are responsible for arranging their own flights and transportation unless otherwise stated.
participants are also responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, entry requirements, and any necessary travel documentation.
&asanas is not responsible for additional expenses incurred due to:
flight cancellations or delays
missed connections
airline schedule changes
lost luggage
weather or natural events
border or entry issues
government travel restrictions
any recommended arrival windows or transportation details provided are suggestions only and remain the responsibility of the participant to coordinate.
rooming & accommodations
accommodation is offered based on the room category selected at booking.
for shared rooms, guests are strongly encouraged to book with the person they’ll share with. if booking a shared room independently, guests must request &asanas assistance in matching them with a roommate.
single occupancy upgrades are subject to availability.
retreat changes & force majeure
&asanas reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the retreat schedule, accommodations, teachers, vendors, excursions, or itinerary if necessary.
in the unlikely event that changes are required due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, weather events, political unrest, civil unrest, government restrictions, illness or injury of retreat leaders, supplier/vendor issues, or other force majeure situations — &asanas will make every reasonable effort to provide a comparable retreat experience.
if the retreat must be cancelled entirely due to circumstances beyond our control, refunds will be dependent on recoverable costs and supplier policies.
&asanas is not responsible for reimbursement of flights, travel expenses, or other external costs incurred by participants.
participant conduct
for the wellbeing of the group, &asanas reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or significantly impacts the experience of others.
no refund will be provided in these circumstances.
media release
photos and videos may be taken throughout the retreat for promotional and marketing purposes.
by participating in the retreat, you consent to the use of images or video footage in which you may appear, unless you notify us in writing prior to the retreat.
acknowledgement
by submitting payment for this retreat, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these booking terms & conditions.
