i help students feel peace and strength through joyful movements and intentional breath so they may access a deeper sense of self-awareness with loving kindness as the foundation.

i was never what anyone would call athletic. i was not skilled at throwing or catching balls and gym was my least favorite class. choir, theatre, and art were my outlets of choice. in 1997, i was going to university in a small town in western illinois. i signed up for an "intro to yoga" class at the community center in town. that class changed my life. i had never had a connection to my body. i honestly didn't know that i could create a physical practice for myself that was not about competition, but about breath and internal reflection. this class also introduced me to the other eight limbs of yoga at a time when i was searching for a deeper connection to myself and the world around me, and i have never looked back.

yoga has been a constant in my life, no matter where i have been. whether i was a traveler, artist, student, mother, or caregiver, yoga carried me through. voices from the past steered me away from teaching, but in 2021 i got my 200hr training from an amazing group of women.

i want to give the gift of yoga to anyone who is looking for an inner union with themselves. a relationship that they can come back to no matter where their lives take them. yoga is more than movement, it is a practice that i try to carry in my every day thoughts, words and actions. sharing this with others has been such a joy in my life.
