crafting flow practice

join emily cordes for a 25-hour flow teacher training at &asanas.

this training is an exploration of vinyasa as a creative, intelligent, and deeply embodied practice. designed for both newer teachers and experienced instructors looking for fresh inspiration, this course offers practical tools for building dynamic, purposeful, and connected flow classes.

together, we’ll explore a variety of approaches to sequencing while learning how to create classes that feel cohesive, intentional, and alive. emphasis will be placed on understanding the “why” behind sequencing choices, helping teachers move beyond memorized shapes and toward more intuitive, responsive class design.

through movement, discussion, practice teaching, and observation, we’ll also explore pacing, transitions, musicality, teacher presence, and the subtle elements that transform a sequence into an experience.

rooted in creativity, curiosity, and functional movement, this training invites teachers to expand their voice, refine their craft, and approach flow with greater confidence and freedom.

Meet emily

I help students connect to their inner rhythm through creative, heart-led flow so they can move with greater authenticity and ease — on and off the mat.

I discovered yoga at the age of eighteen, thanks to my ballet teacher. I've been teaching since 2016 and now lead yoga teacher trainings and retreats internationally, supporting both new and experienced teachers in developing confidence, authenticity, and creativity in their teaching.

My teaching is rooted in Vinyasa yoga and shaped by my background in contemporary dance, where I developed a deep appreciation for rhythm, transitions, and the experience of movement itself — not just the shapes we create. I am particularly passionate about sequencing and helping teachers understand how thoughtful flow can create meaningful experiences for students.

Alongside my yoga training, I hold a Bachelor of Education, which continues to influence my approach to teacher development. My teaching style is warm, encouraging, and grounded in curiosity, blending clear foundations with creativity and exploration. My goal is to help students and teachers alike cultivate greater trust in themselves and discover what it means to flow freely and live fully.
