heart-opening kirtan

join emily for an afternoon of kirtan — a joyful, heart-opening practice of call-and-response chanting.

rooted in the bhakti yoga tradition, kirtan is less about performance and more about shared experience. simple mantras are sung together in a welcoming, relaxed space where everyone is invited to participate at their own comfort level — whether singing, listening, or simply soaking in the energy of the room.

through rhythm, voice, and collective presence, kirtan has a unique way of quieting the mind, opening the heart, and creating a powerful sense of connection — both within ourselves and with the community around us.

all are welcome to join this practice; no previous experience is needed. just bring your curiosity and an open heart.
