i offer playful embodied movement rooted in curiosity, care, and a little humour, helping people come home to themselves through all the natural shifts of being in a body — because every version of us is worthy of joyful movement that lights up the body, brain, and heart.
i hope you smile when you walk into (and out of) my classroom. for me, movement has never just been about exercise or mastering one particular method — it’s always been about helping people feel more at home in themselves using methods and modalities that offer solutions for each unique body. i teach from a place of playful embodiment, curiosity, and care, with deep respect for the lived experience of the body and the reality that our bodies are meant to change — all bodies, shapes and abilities are welcome! moving in community is what community is about — celebration, moving through grief, a boost of energy (or a little of all three?)
i hold a master of arts in dance & movement education and more than 15 years of teaching experience in higher education, where i’ve worked with musicians, athletes, dancers, performers & business folks helping them find roots and stand tall. my work in the last 5 years has shifted to focus more on folks who have been met with physical (often surgical) interventions and transitions. i came into the world with jazz hands and smiles, dancing since i could walk. i’ve been incorporating pilates into my teaching practice since 2013, have been a student of yoga since 2003. across all of that work, i keep coming back to the same thing: every version of us is worthy and deserving of joyful movement. in my classes, i use charm, humour, and a little silliness to create connection and enough safety to go deeper — supporting people in building body awareness, kinaesthetic literacy, self-trust, and a more compassionate relationship with their naturally shifting bodies. my artistic and advocacy work around body image, healing, and women’s health continues to inform that practice.
